One long Saturday morning in the middle of march. Home alone, experimenting with a chocolate mousse recipe. This kind of chocolate mousse which can be eaten as breakfast or a night snack and you still feel very good because even if it is delicious and comforting, it also nourishes your body without making it work too hard or having too much calories. You can go decadent and take it with you into your bed!:) It’s Saturday!
Life is groovy!
What do I need?
1 big sweet potato
4-5 Tbsp cacao powder
1-2 Tbsp softened coconut oil
1 -2Tbsp almond butter
1 cup rice milk or coconut milk OR strong coffee if for adults!
pinch of salt, 0,5 tsp cinnamon
7 – 8 dates
For the chocolate sauce:
1 Tbsp coconut oil
2 Tbsp cacao 1
1 Tbsp maple sirup – optional
fresh or frozen raspberries for topping
What do I do?
Peel the sweet potato and steam or cook it until soft. Then blend together with all the ingredients until smooth. Let it cool in the fridge, then serve with chocolate sauce and raspberries. You can choose other fruits too, like mango or other berries and nuts. Also, you can combine this chocolate dessert with oat yogurt or other yogurt you like. Use your fantasy and create your own original version.:)
I love making this dessert meal over and over again. It’s so satisfying! Give it a try and let me know how it was or if you made some fun variations of the recipe!:)
