Kråkeslottet Senja, 15. February – 17. February 2019
In February the Sun returns back to the North which is truly magical. The morning sky has all different tones of rose, purple and orange. The days get brighter and longer after the long winter. There is a new fresh energy in the air and a lot of excitement for the period of light to come.
This is a great time to make space for what we want to experience more of in our lives and let go of what does not serve us anymore. It is also nice time to get together and celebrate!
At the yoga weekend we will practice creating more space in body and mind through yoga, meditation and ice bathing (optional, but amazing!). We will learn how to tune deeper inside and rise consciousness to experience more clarity, joy and wholeness in everyday life.
Yoga-slottet
The whole house will turn into a yoga arena during these days. We will practise Strala yoga – an exciting blend of yoga, dance and thai chi. Developed in NYC, inspired by nature Strala is a movement system which ignites freedom. It supports creativity and intuition in your yoga practice while providing structure, guidance and safety. The goal is to cultivate ease and grace both on the mat and in life, and to feel good!:)
Meditation
Meditation is the number one tool for connecting to the inner space, restore balance in the whole system and create desired feelings and situations in life. We will use different meditation techniques as visual imaginary and breathing techniques as well as some exciting and useful exercises in groups.
Ice bathing and sauna
As the house is literally standing on the sea, we will have many opportunities to dip in the cold water as well as relax in wood fired sauna afterwards. This is a great way to experience total presence and detoxify the body and mind. Read more about ice bathing here.
Chocolate ritual
We are going to celebrate the Sun come back with chocolate! We will serve intense and strong hot chocolate made of organic raw cacao and energising spices.
Cacao fills you with love for life! It has both grounding and euphorising effects and it helps sensitise the body and connect to the heart.
The chocolate is prepared by my friend Laurent Fauconnier, a very talented man of art, sounds and hand crafts with a great sense for beauty and taste. He is also an amazing chef and will be preparing some of the meals during the weekend.
Food
Food is an important element of the whole weekend and the Kråkeslottet culinary lab is the perfect place for creating dishes full of new flavours and exciting ingredients.
During the retreat we serve delicious and healthy meals three times a day. Breakfasts consist of nourishing smoothie bowls or hearty oat porridge with variety of toppings. Lunches are for buckwheat crepes, home made bread, hummus and salads. Dinners are prepared from local, mostly organic ingredients like root vegetables, great quality fish or freshly harvested seaweeds. (Vegetarian or vegan options available on demand.)
